Our Doctors Melbourne CBD

I am a GP from Scotland obtaining my medical degree from the University of Aberdeen in 2009. I completed my GP training in Glasgow and am a member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. I have worked in various areas across Scotland as a GP particularly deep end city practices in Glasgow as well as the rural Highlands of Scotland. In addition to this, I worked as a GP in the Peruvian Amazon volunteering on the Amazon Hope boat providing medical services to rural communities along the Amazon River. I am very passionate about all realms of general practice and endeavour to provide compassionate and holistic care to all patients. My special interests include mental health, women’s health, palliative care and chronic disease. When not at work, I love to travel, run and surf!
I graduated at The University of Birmingham Medical School in 2010. I then continued my specialist training in the UK, working as a GP in London before relocating to Melbourne as I love it here. I am a member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
I have a diploma in women’s health and also have special interests in sexual health and mental health. I pride myself on being friendly and approachable.
I am a vocationally registered GP who has been working a variety of different GP positions since 2009. In that time, I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work in a number of different locations around Australia broadening my clinical experience and skills. My areas of interest include the management of chronic diseases, paediatric medicine, men’s health, medicine for the elderly, minor procedures including implanon insertion and removal, opportunistic screening, sexual health and family planning(includes cervical cancer screening), travel medicine, mental health, acute/emergency medicine and sports medicine. On my time off, I like spending it with a mix of sports and music and socialising with friends. I also enjoy travelling and see more new places in Australia.
Starting after hours Monday to Thursday 6-10 pm and all day Sundays from early August
I graduated from King’s College Medical School in London and completed my GP Training in Cambridge. I am a keen Generalist and like to keep up to date on a wide variety of knowledge and skills. I have an interest in Women’s Health; Diabetes; along with general health behaviour and mental wellness. I am a great listener and believe very much in empowering patients to understand their medical and psychological conditions in order to help them feel confident about managing and feeling in control of their lives.
I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994, and completed post-grad studies at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I have worked in general practice for over 20 years, and have a special interest in the non-pharmacological management of health problems, and specialise in Medical Laser Acupuncture (MLA).
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by applying needles, electrical stimulation, acupressure, or laser light to very precise acupuncture points. Acupuncture stimulates these sensitive points on the body. Acupuncture can relive symptoms for many conditions. I only use laser acupuncture for therapy.
Laser acupuncture was first developed in the mid 1970’s. Many scientific studies have proven its effectiveness. The red light laser beam penetrated 1-2 mm into the body tissues to stimulate special nerve endings at the acupuncture points. These nerve endings then set off the response in the spinal cord and brain.
MLA is a safe, scientifically validated, gentle and painless therapy for many chronic illnesses, including neck and back pain, headache, migraine, asthma, sinusitis, stress and insomnia.
I also have over 15 years experience with antiwrinkle injectables.
