Having made Melbourne my home since 2012, I hail from Portland, Oregon where I am a Board Certified Family Physician with over 10 years’ experience. I attained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015 after successfully passing the college’s examinations.
My role as a physician is to be a facilitator of healing. I believe that a person’s natural state is that of wellness and aim to help my patients maintain that state and guide them back when needed.

I enjoy the broad scope of general practice and along with paediatrics have a specific interest in office procedures including excision of skin lesions and Implanon insertion/removal.

I gained MBBS degree in University of Jaffna Sri Lanka in 2003, had my intern in Medicine and Surgery department. I worked in Medical Ward and General Practice since then and also got Anaesthesia training in 2009, After I migrated to Australia, I started to work in Renmark Medical Clinic, one of the Riverland rural practice in South Australia for 5 years. I gained experience in rural general practice, age care work, rural hospital work in Renmark Paringa District hospital and emergency department, Riverland General hospital and achieved Fellowship (RACGP) in 2005. Since I relocated from South Australia, I attached to MyClinic group in in Prahran.
I’m interested in skin cancer surgery, dermatology, sports medicine, chronic disease management, cosmetic medicine, travel medicine and minor procedures like lumps and bumps removal, implanon insertion and removal etc. I’m continuously updating my knowledge in my special interest fields.
I completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a medical degree (MBBS) from St George’s University of London, before specialising in general practice in London. I am a member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK and The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Due to my special interest in women’s health and sexual health I completed the DRCOG (Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) and hold a LoC (Letter of Competence) in both Mirena and Implanon insertions. I am also qualified in minor surgical proceedures such as skin lesion removal, joint injections and cryotherapy and am keenly interested in medical education.

I chose a career in general practice as it allows me to help patients take control of their health and well being and improve their quality of life.
