Dr Sally Roberts studied pre-clinical medicine at Oxford University and completed her clinical training in London. She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of GPs in 2004. She has worked as a GP for 16 years in Bristol and Edinburgh and moved to Melbourne in 2020.
She has 10 years experience fitting and removing contraceptive implants, MIRENA coils and non-hormonal (copper) IUDs. She holds diplomas in gynaecology and family planning.
She also holds a certificate in the management of Type 2 diabetes.
She has an interest in Academic General Practice having been both a tutor at Glasgow University, and a facilitator within NHS Education for Scotland. She also holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Lectureship at Aberdeen University. She attended the International Preventing Overdiagnosis scientific conference in Barcelona in 2016, and has an ongoing interest in this area.
